A fire breaks out in the kitchen area in the basement of the theatre

Narrative:
it is a weekday afternoon, the theatre is undergoing renovation with work being carried out in the main auditorium, all seating has been removed and being stored in the balcony area at the rear of the building.

Two functions are taking place, the first is in the top restaurant with 42 guests from the local branch of women’s institute, 3 are disabled and in wheel chairs.

The second function in the lower ground restaurant and bar area of 98 people attending a wedding reception.

Members of staff = 10 back stage hands =3 workmen =5 Duty manager =1 clerical assistance = 2 other staff = 3
