Scenario:
You are called out as part of a two pump attendance to Brooklyn court, a low rise block of flats on the outskirts of Anytown. It is 11:20 on the morning. As you approach you can clearly see smoke issuing over the top of the flats. When you arrive you make your way into the lobby area where you see the annunciation panel showing a fire in zone 5.

Narrative:
The building is of a peculiar design each of the flats on the ground, first and second floors are single storey flats and are accessed via the central staircase, however the flats on floor three are duplex and have an upstairs accessed via a staircase located inside the flat. The plan of zones shows zone 5 which is located on the 4th floor. A quick look round the back shows smoke issuing out of a balcony window, the fire is located to a bedroom in flat 15, however due to the layout of the building flat 15 is at the front of the block. Usually entry is made into the flat at the rear of the block flat 17 there is no sign of fire only wispy smoke as the BA team make there way up the internal flat stairs they are knocked over by a youth who runs past them on the stair (BA emergency), there is evidence of illegal propagation of cannabis plants with a large cable going through the wall into flat 15. As the IC is thinking of making entry into flat 15 the owner of the flat arrives and tells of his bedridden wife who is inside flat 15 (persons reported)

Options:
Single scenario to reflect actual events incurred on the incident however the scenario can be adapted to test specific operational objective.
