Scenario one
You are called out as part of a two pump attendance to the “Avenues Health Centre”, Anytown. One pump will arrive at the premises approximately 5 minutes before the second. On your approach you can clearly see smoke issuing over the roof of the building. As you approach you are met by the fire marshal.
Narrative:
There is a fire which has started in a downstairs janitors store room (this view is only visible from the rear of the premises). The fire marshal informs you that he has done a role call using the folder he has been supplied with. However, some of the people listed no longer work there and that there will have been members of the public in the building but he does not know how many, where they were situated or even if they have left the building. A plan view of the premise is available to make the position of pumps and resources. If asked the fire marshal will produce a sketch showing the general layout of the rooms within the building
Options:
Single scenario to reflect actual events incurred on the incident. However, the scenario can be adapted to test specific operational objective.
